This collection of new paintings by Daniel Buckles brings the sensibilities of Japanese art materials--sumi ink, rice paper, scroll-making--to the treescapes of Lake Temagami. The work invites you to reflect on our connection to Nature, and the realization that there is no separation between the parts of life. 

All work has been framed by the artist, using decorative papers and repurposed frames, to highlight the craft of making art that is both an image and an object connecting the mental and physical worlds.
